Commissioner appeals citizens to remove encroachments from roadberms/footpath

Chandigarh, May 5:- Anindita Mitra, IAS, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Chandigarh today appealed to the citizens of Chandigarh to remove encroachments from the road berms/footpaths.

The Commissioner directed the engineering wing to remove such encroachments from the Govt. land. During the “on foot visits”, she found illegally occupied spaces by the citizens on the footpath causing damage to the govt. land and blocking the pathway on V 6 roads at sector 55.

She directed the engineers to initiate legal action against such encroachments if found regularly.
