सिटीजन अवेयरनेस ग्रुप ने पीजीआई निदेशक को किया सम्मानित
चंडीगढ़, 1 जुलाई 2021: सिटीजन अवेयरनेस ग्रुप ने गुरुवार को डॉक्टर्स डे के अवसर पर पीजीआई के निदेशक प्रो. जगत राम को सम्मानित किया। महामारी के दौरान पीजीआई द्वारा किए जा रहे सराहनीय कार्यों के लिए ग्रुप के चेयरपर्सन सुरिंदर वर्मा ने प्रो.जगत राम को एक स्मृति चिन्ह, शॉल और एक गुलदस्ता भेंट किया।
पीजीआई के निदेशक, प्रो जगत राम ने इस अवसर पर बोलते हुए कहा, इस समय जब कोविड के मामले सबसे कम है, हम सभी को कोविड प्रोटोकॉल का सख्ती से पालन करने की आवश्यकता है। हमें यह सुनिश्चित करना चाहिए कि हम टीकाकरण करवाएं, जो वायरस को हटाने का एकमात्र तरीका है।
सुरिंदर वर्मा ने कहा, डॉक्टर्स डे पर, सिटीजन अवेयरनेस ग्रुप मृतक के रिश्तेदारों द्वारा स्वास्थ्य कर्मियों के खिलाफ हिंसा की निंदा करता है। इस तरह की कार्रवाई में शामिल लोगों के खिलाफ सख्त कार्रवाई की जानी चाहिए। ग्रुप महामारी के समय में डॉक्टरों के योगदान की सराहना करता है क्योंकि वे पिछले डेढ़ साल से अधिक समय से निस्वार्थ भाव से काम कर रहे हैं।
इस मौके पर, सुरेंद्र वर्मा ने आज यहां अपनी दूसरी खुराक का टीकाकरण भी कराया तथा देशवासियों से टीका लगाने की अपील की। इस दौरान उन्होंने टीकों के दुष्प्रभावों के बारे में फैलाई जा रही गलत अफवाहों पर विश्वास न करने का आग्रह भी किया।
Chandigarh, July 1, 2021: Citizens Awareness Group on Thursday felicitated the PGI Director. Prof. Jagat Ram on the occasion of National Doctors Day. The Group Chairperson, Surinder Verma presented a memento, shawl and a bouquet to acknowledge the commendable work being done by PGIMER during the pandemic.
PGIMER Director, Prof. Jagat Ram, while speaking on the occasion said, “At this point of time when COVID cases are at an all-time low, we should not lower the guard and all of us need to strictly follow all COVID protocols. We must ensure we are vaccinated, which is the only way to beat the virus.”
Mr. Surinder Verma, said, “On National Doctor’s Day, Citizens Awareness Group condemns violence against health workers by relatives of the deceased and strict action should be taken against those indulging in such action. The group lauds the contribution of doctors in times of pandemic as they have been selflessly working for more than one and a half years now.”
Mr. Surinder Verma, who also got vaccinated for his second dose here today, appealed to city residents to get themselves vaccinated urging them not to believe in fake news being spread about side-effects of vaccines.
