Another milestone for MC Chandigarh: Committed to the welfare of safaimitras

Committed to the welfare of  safaimitras and to take it further, all 11000 employees of MC(including regular, contractual, outsourcing, company employees, garbage collectors in MOU with MC), from Group D to Group A, were insured for an amount of 40 lacs for accidental death, disability, death due to snake bites or animal bites, 1.20 crs of air death, 12 lacs for education of each daughter upto the age of 22, and 6 lacs for sons(maximum two children). The family of the deceased employee shall get 2.5 lacs in case of a natural death. The entire scheme was rolled out in collaboration with Punjab and Sind Bank. The entire insurance coverage is of no cost to MC Chandigarh as the entire cost of premium is being borne by the bank.
