Adolescence is an impressionable age; befriend children- Vijay Kaushal ji Maharaj

CHANDIGARH, APRIL 28:  Governor of Gujarat, Acharya Devrat along with his wife attended the sixth day of Sri Ram Katha at Punjab Raj Bhavan, Chandigarh.

He was accorded a warm welcome by Shri Banwarilal Purohit, the Governor of Punjab and Administrator, UT, Chandigarh.

Acharya Devrat said that articulation of Sri Ram Katha by Vijay Kaushal ji Maharaj is very popular and highly appreciated worldwide and he is fortunate to have an opportunity to listen to his discourse. Thanking Shri Banwarilal Purohit for giving him this opportunity, he said that Shri Purohit is not just a seasoned leader but also a person who holds moral values dear to his heart.

Eulogising the life story of Sri Ram, Governor Gujarat said that Lord Rama’s life portrays an “Aadarsh Parivaar”. He said that Lord Rama did not preach about the ideal way of living but he taught by an example and lived a life worth emulating.

Shri Vijay Kaushal Ji Maharaj called upon the devotees present to befriend their young children. He said that adolescence is an impressionable age. It is very easy for them to go astray. Gentle handholding can work wonders. Parents need to guide the children to distinguish between right and wrong. Age appropriate limits need to be explained by being rational. He also guided them against blind following of foreign cultures. He called upon them to make the children realize the rich culture of our country and be proud of our mother tongue, cuisine and clothing.

Through various episodes and incidents of Sri Ram Charitra Manas, Sri Vijay Kaushal Ji Maharaj said that to err is human but instead of mending the mistake hiding it turns it into a sin. So, one should mend his ills rather than attempting to hide them.

Later, he narrated the episodes of Sri Ram Vivah and regaled the audience. The euphoria in the atmosphere made the devotees dance on the Bhajans.

A large number of devotes including Shri Gian Chand Gupta, Speaker, Haryana, Mr. Iqbal Singh, former Governor  Puducherry, Punjab BJP President, Mr. Ashwani Sharma were present on the occasion.
