50 Research Scholars from different regions of India witnessed ICCC, Chandigarh
Chandigarh, February 24th, 2023: 50 Research Scholars from different regions of India visited Chandigarh to attend the “Workshop on Public Policy on Crossroads: Changes and Challenges” witnessed the working of Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC), Sector 17, Chandigarh.
A demonstration on live functioning of ICCC enabled citizen centric services like Management of Traffic, Solid Waste Management, Public Bike Sharing, Intelligent Traffic Management System, Adaptive Traffic Control System, E-Governance and Smart Lighting on the video wall in ICCC was given by ICT Expert of Chandigarh Smart City Limited. He shared the concept of Integrated Command and Control Centre, which aimed at enhancing safety and security of citizens by bringing all departments on single platform and converting aggregated data to actionable intelligence.
“ICCC is monitoring the smart field elements like CCTV Surveillance Cameras wherein cameras are installed for real time surveillance of Traffic Junctions and other important buildings of Chandigarh like Parks, Government Hospitals, Community Centers, Parking locations and Schools, etc. This system is using Artificial Intelligence based advanced video analytics and generating automatic event alerts. CCTV surveillance cameras have reduced the incidents like vehicle theft, irresponsible driving, loitering, illegal parking Trespassing.”, said by Anindita Mitra IAS, Chief Executive Officer, Chandigarh Smart City Limited.
Parking Management System of Chandigarh shall be integrated with Integrated Command & Control Centre of Chandigarh for Data Analytics and Service Monitoring. Participants were amazed to see the infrastructure and working of ICCC, Chandigarh.
