Sampla Thanks PM Modi for ‘Sant Guru Ravidas Museum’ Gift

New Museum: A Prominent Pilgrimage Center, Says Sampla

CHANDIGARH, February 23 Senior BJP Leader and former union minister Vijay Sampla extended heartfelt thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for conducting the ‘ground-breaking ceremony’ of the Sant Guru Ravidas Museum at Varanasi on Friday, a day before the 647th birth anniversary of Sant Guru Ravidas. Moreover, he also expressed gratitude for the inauguration and foundation stone laying of various development works related to the birthplace of Saint Guru, including a new statue, costing Rs 96.36 crore.

Modi visits the Guru Ravidas temple, in addition to laying the foundation for the museum in Seer Goverdhanpur, he unveils a statue of Sant Ravidas inside the temple premises.

Welcome Address at  Guru Ravidas Museum

In his welcome address for PM Modi, Sampla highlights the event as a significant milestone in the region’s progress and the BJP government’s commitment to cultural preservation.

Sampla, former chairman of the National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC), emphasizes the significance of the Sant Guru Ravidas Museum as a symbol of  Guru Ravidas’ teachings and legacy.

Modi’s Commitment to Dalit Development

Sampla acknowledges Modi’s commitment to Dalit development, citing the Ayodhya airport’s naming after Maharishi Valmiki and the conversion of historic places related to B R Ambedkar into pilgrimage centers.

Mission of the Museum

The museum aims to promote inclusivity, social harmony, and spiritual enlightenment among devotees and followers of the sect. Additionally, the forthcoming museum at Seer Goverdhanpur will pay homage to Guru Ravidas’ contributions during the Bhakti movement, showcasing his birth and spiritual journey through digital media.
