Corona Mukt Pind: Isolation centres being set up across villages in district Barnala

 

-25 cluster level committees set up for monitoring isolation centres and door to door visit

-village panchayats, Anganwadi workers, GoGs, volunteers continue health survey in villages

Taking an initiatives to contain the spread of corona virus infection under the Corona Mukt Pind campaign of Punjab government the district administration is setting up isolation centres across the villages and has formed 25 cluster level committees to monitor working of these isolation centres and for door to door visit in villages.

Giving further information here today the Deputy Commissioner Barnala Mr. Tej Pratap Singh Phoolka said that it was a challenge in many households to keep infected person isolated from other family members. This was owing to lack of awareness and facilities. Then district administration decided to divide villages into clusters and set up isolation centre at cluster or at village level so that each and everyone could be benefited from it.

25 officers of district administration has been deputed as a supervisor for each cluster and committees have been formed. Each committee comprises of Sarpanch or Panchayat members, Anganwadi workers, Guardians of Governance, government school principal, RMP doctor, members of the youth club and Nehru Yuva Kendra volunteer. These committee members are given thermometer, pulse oximeter and other such things for health survey of villagers.

 

These treaties provide services to the Corona positive patient and identify the patients who are suffering from Corona like symptons. People with mild cold symptoms can be admitted at the village level isolation centre as per their need, while the serious patients tends to Sohal Patti and Mehal Kalan isolation Centres.

 

Meanwhile Deputy Commissioner visited the isolation Centre setup at villages Badbar and Harigarh where he took stock of the facilities available to the patient.

 

DDPO Barnala Jagtar Singh said that places for setting up isolation centres at the village level have been identified. BDPO Barnala Savinder Singh said that in block Barnala 15 bedded isolation centre has been set up at Sant Baba Attar Singh Polytechnic College, Badbar and another 10 bedded isolation facility has been set up at panchayat ghar village Harigarh. Also work is going on in the other villages of the block. He added that village level team comprising of Anganwadi worker and other members report on daily basis to superviser and discuss workout strategies to contain spread of Corona infection. Bdpo Gurmail Singh said that at village Jodhpur Cheema Aryabhatta college has been identified where 22 bedded isolation Centre facility has been set up.
