Congress and Akalis Built Farmhouses for Themselves; AAP Built Clean Toilets for Punjab's Students: Education Minister
Chandigarh, April 11 ; Punjab’s Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains hit back at opposition parties. He questioned their audacity to criticize the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government’s efforts in improving school infrastructure. Bains highlighted the dire state of government schools inherited by the AAP government. He stated, “Before our government, over 3,000 schools in Punjab didn’t even have basic Clean toilets facilities. Where was their shame when our daughters had to relieve themselves in the open? Many of them often dropped out of school due to the lack of clean and safe bathrooms.”
Bains further lambasted the Congress, BJP, and Akali Dal for failing Punjab’s children for decades. “Their children attended elite schools with air-conditioned bathrooms. Meanwhile, they deprived the children of laborers and farmers of even the most basic facilities. These clean toilets aren’t mere structures—they are a reminder of their 75 years of apathy and failure,” he asserted. The AAP government has successfully built toilets in every school. They have ensured clean drinking water as well. This brings dignity to students and transforms government schools into spaces of respect and equality.
These Inauguration Stones are Slap on the Face of Congress, BJP and Akali Dal’s Rule: Neel Garg
AAP spokesperson Neel Garg criticized the opposition for mocking the inauguration of toilets in schools. “This mockery does not target the AAP government; it slaps the face of the system that Congress, BJP, and Akali Dal failed for 70 years.” Their leaders’ children studied in luxury, while Punjab’s students lacked drinking water and proper sanitation,” said Garg. “AAP has assured the public of its commitment to delivering quality education and infrastructure for every child in Punjab, regardless of their background.”
