Department of Computer Science and Applications, GGDSD College, Chandigarh, Organizes Industrial Visit to Meander Software
Chandigarh, September 12, 2025: Pheonix- The ICT Club of the Department of Computer Science and Applications, Goswami Ganesh Dutta Sanatan Dharma College (GGDSD College), Chandigarh, organized an Industrial Visit to Meander Software, Mohali, on September 12, 2025, at 11:00 am.
The visit was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Rina (Head of Department) and Dr. Monika Sethi (Coordinator Pheonix- The ICT club), with active coordination by Dr. Osheen Sharma and Dr. Shweta Sharma (Organizing Secretaries), who accompanied the students during the visit.
A total of 35 students from the department participated in the visit, gaining practical exposure to the operations and innovations of Meander Software, a leading product-based IT company specializing in Web & Mobile Applications, IoT, AI, Machine Learning, and Digital Business Solutions.
The visit aimed to provide students with practical exposure to AI applications and advancements. They gained insights into industry operations, real-time projects, and software development processes. The students actively engaged in interactive sessions, demonstrations and discussions conducted by experts. They also learned about Meander’s expertise in Web Development, Mobile App Development, Digital Marketing, and Product Development. They discovered its adoption of Agile and Kanban methodologies for project management.
Dr. Ajay Sharma, Principal, GGDSD College appreciated the initiative. It reflected the department’s commitment to bridging the gap between academic learning and industry practices. This prepares students for future career opportunities.
The students expressed their enthusiasm for the enriching experience. It gave them valuable exposure to the working environment. They also gained insight into corporate culture and technological innovation at Meander Software.
