Ludhiana, June 14* The district administration has implemented comprehensive surveillance measures. These measures will ensure a transparent and smooth Ludhiana West bypoll process. The process will occur across 194 polling stations in the district.They will use webcasting on voting day (June 19).
Authorities have installed a total of 235 high-resolution CCTV cameras. They placed 194 cameras inside polling stations and positioned 41 cameras outside to monitor activities in real-time.
District Election Officer Himanshu Jain stated that these cameras have high-speed internet connectivity. They will enable live streaming of the polling process on June 19. This setup allows the administration to closely monitor voter queues and the polling process. They can also oversee overall activities through an integrated control center at the District Administrative Complex. The live feed will ensure steady and reliable transmission of visuals from all polling stations.
Jain stated, “The district administration fully commits to conducting a transparent bypoll.””We have left no stone unturned to uphold the integrity of this democratic process. We have ensured that every voter can exercise their right in a secure and fair environment.”
On Saturday, District Election Officer Himanshu Jain checked the first trial run of the webcasting. He was accompanied by ADC (Rural Development) Amarjit Bains and others.
