Chandigarh, April 29, 2025 – In a decisive move to eradicate the drug menace, the Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, has announced an intensive ” Punjan Nasha Mukti Yatra” campaign. This statewide initiative will cover every village and urban ward across Punjab during May and June 2025. It aims to mobilize communities to join the fight against drugs.

Key Highlights of the Campaign:

✅ Phase 1 (May 2-4): District-level meetings chaired by Cabinet Ministers to officially launch the campaign. ✅ Village & Ward Defence Committees (VDCs/WDCs) will lead the movement with support from Sarpanches, Civil & Police Administration. ✅ Phase 2 (May 7 Onwards): Grassroots outreach with village/ward meetings to ensure 100% coverage. ✅ CM’s Vision: Transform Punjab’s war on drugs into a mass movement with public participation.
