ASI Subash Chander to be awarded with Chief Minister’s Rakshak Padak Award
• AIG HPS Khakh among eight Punjab Police officials to conferred with Chief Minister’s Medal for Outstanding Devotion to Duty
CHANDIGARH, January 25:
On the recommendations of Punjab Government, the Governor of Punjab on Monday, announced to bestow Chief Minister’s Rakshak Padak award on Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Subash Chander for displaying the highest level of courage by saving the life of a citizen.
The Governor of Punjab also announced names of eight officers including AIG Counter Intelligence Jalandhar zone Harkamal Preet Singh Khakh, to be conferred with Chief Minister’s Medal for Outstanding Devotion to Duty. The remaining officers/officials selected for Chief Minister’s Medal for Outstanding Devotion to Duty include DSP City Bathinda Gurjit Singh, DSP SSOC Amritsar Harwinderpal Singh, DSP SSOC SAS Nagar Gurcharan Singh, DSP STF Border Range Amritsar Arun Sharma, Inspector Binderjit Singh, ASI (LR) Kashmir Singh from STF, and ASI Pawan Kumar.
On the other side, the Punjab Government also announced to confer “Praman Patra” to 13 Punjab Police officers/officials including ADCP Ludhiana Rupinder Kaur Sra for their outstanding duty during COVID-19. The remaining officers/officials to get “Praman Patra” include SHO PS Vallah Amritsar Sanjeev Kumar, HC Sukhjinder Kaur (Amritsar), SI Gurmail Singh (Barnala), SI Mandeep Salgotra, SI Harvinder Kaur (Faridkot), Inspector Gurdeep Kaur (Incharge Women Cell Fatehgarh Sahib), ASI Kasam Ali (Sri Muktsar Sahib), ASI Bikkar Singh (Moga), Senior Constable Sukhjinder Pal Singh (Moga), HC Harish Verma (PAP) and Constable Patel (PAP).
Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab Dinkar Gupta congratulated the awardees and thanked the Punjab Government for recognising the services of the Punjab Police officers/officials. He said that such recognitions play a significant role in encouraging the Police force to work with more dedication and devotion.
