Cooperative Sector : Complete the process of digitisation of PACS by December 31: VK Singh Directs officers

Cooperative Sector : Gives directions to fast track the process of digitisation of PACs across the state*
Chandigarh, October 19 : In consonance with the directions of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to strengthen the cooperative sector, Special Chief Secretary to CM Mr VK Singh on Saturday directed the officers to expedite the ongoing process of computerisation of Primary agricultural Cooperative Societies(PACS) and complete the process by December 31.

Chairing a meeting of the State Level Implementation and Monitoring Committee (SLIMC), the Special Chief Secretary emphasized the significance of the Primary Agriculture Society as the backbone of the Cooperative Movement in Punjab. Moreover, he highlighted that these societies play a crucial role as catalysts in ensuring the well-being of farmers at the grassroots level. Additionally, VK Singh stated that the computerization of these societies will not only enhance efficiency but also promote transparency in their operations, thus providing immense benefits to the farmers.

Cooperative Sector : Special Chief Secretary reviewed the District wise status

The Special Chief Secretary thoroughly reviewed the district-wise status of the ongoing computerisation and urged the officers to ensure both timely and effective implementation of the project. Furthermore, the committee extensively deliberated on the computerisation of the office of the Registrar Cooperative Societies, emphasizing the importance of streamlining processes.  Punjab, as well as the Agriculture Cooperative Banks in the state. Furthermore,  VK Singh envisioned that this project will not only significantly enhance but also further streamline the functioning of PACS across Punjab.
