Amb (Una), September 28. The three-day Mata Shri Chintapurni Mahotsav, organised for the first time in Amb of Una district with the aim of promoting religious and cultural tourism in Himachal Pradesh, concluded with great pomp on Saturday. The chief guest of the closing ceremony was Minister of Town and Country Planning, Housing, Technical Education, Vocational and Industrial Training Rajesh Dharmani. Chintapurni MLA Sudarshan Bablu, Kutlehar MLA Vivek Sharma and former minister Kuldeep Kumar were present with him.

Festival was inaugurated on September 26 by Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri at Mela Maidan Amb. During this three-day festival, religious rituals, cultural programs and local crafts were displayed, in which people participated enthusiastically and appreciated the efforts of the organization. The festival also created new opportunities for local businessmen and strengthened the tourism prospects in the area.

In the closing ceremony, Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal felicitated all the distinguished guests including  Dharmani.

In his address,  Dharmani expressed happiness over the success of the festival and said that this event has promoted religious tourism in the area as well as encouraged the local culture. On the demand of local MLA Sudarshan Bablu to open two ITI in the area, he assured that this proposal will be placed before the Chief Minister and it will be considered soon.

 

On this occasion, MLA Sudarshan Bablu thanked the district and sub-divisional administration for the successful organization of the festival. He demanded to open 2 ITI in Shri Chintpurni and Jol area.

 

The MLA advised those opposing the festival to celebrate the success of the event instead of protesting.

 

In the program, the officials and priests of Mata Shri Chintpurni Temple Trust were specially honored.

 

On this occasion, Superintendent of Police Rakesh Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner Mahendra Pal Gurjar, SDM Amb Sachin Sharma and other dignitaries were present.
