Haryana Chief Minister offers prayers at Gurudwara Sri Chilla Sahib
Chief Minister hands over the registry document of 77 Kanal 7 Marla Land to Sri Gurudwara Chilla Sahib Management Committee
Chandigarh, July 31 – Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini today paid obeisance at Gurudwara Sri Chilla Sahib in Sirsa. During this, he handed over the registry document of 77 Kanal 7 Marla land to the members of the Gurudwara Sri Chilla Sahib Management Committee. The members of the management committee honored Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini with a memento and a ‘Saropa’.
Gurudwara Sri Chilla Sahib holds significant historical importance
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that Gurudwara Sri Chilla Sahib holds significant historical importance as Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji visited this place and from this holy land, saints have guided the world through their teachings.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister mentioned that during the 550th Prakash Parv of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, former Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal had announced the allocation of this land to Sri Gurudwara Chilla Sahib. Following this announcement, the state cabinet passed a proposal transferring the ownership of this sacred land to Sri Gurudwara Chilla Sahib.
He said that Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi has made numerous announcements for the Sikh religion over the past decade, including waiving GST on langar items and observing December 26 as Veer Bal Diwas’, to mark the martyrdom of sons of Sri Guru Gobind Singh – Sahibzadas Baba Zorawar Singh Ji and Baba Fateh Singh Ji. Additionally, the construction of the Kartarpur Corridor has been facilitated by the Prime Minister.
Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that Guru Nanak Dev Ji performed penance on this land and guided people. Through his sacred teachings and words, Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji showed the entire world the path of righteousness. We should follow the path he showed in our lives, said the Chief Minister.
On this occasion, Energy Minister, Sh. Ranjit Singh, MLA, Sh. Gopal Kanda, former MP Smt. Sunita Duggal and Dr. Ashok Tanwar, former Chairman Gurdev Singh Rahi, Baba Jagtar Singh, Kar Seva Wale Baba Gurmeet Singh, Baba Narender Singh, Director, Haryana Sahitya and Sanskriti Academy, Sardar Harpal Singh Gill, Sardar Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Lakhwinder Pal Singh Grewal, Chairman of Guru Nanak Mission Charitable Trust, Sh. Surender Singh Vaidwala, Deputy Commissioner, Sh. R.K. Singh, and Superintendent of Police,Sh. Vikrant Bhushan were present.
