The State Cabinet in its meeting held here today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu approved declaration of land acquisition and compensation to the families being affected by the expansion of Kangra airport. Furthermore, it was also decided to provide the state share of capital cost for the construction of Bulk Drug Park in Haroli Assembly constituency of Una district and approved calling of its tender.

The Cabinet gave its approval to bring additional areas of Retreat, Mashobra, Band Tukda Andri, Shiv Mandi Andri, Tal and Giri, D.P.F. Khalini, B.C.S. Mist Chamber and Parimahal under the ambit of Green Area in the Shimla Development Plan.

It accepted the Cabinet Sub-Committee’s recommendations on the pending results for post codes 903 and 939, related to Junior Office Assistant and assigned the task of declaring the final results for both post codes to H.P. Rajya Chayan Aayog Hamirpur.

It gave its nod to create and fill up 486 posts of Lecturer Physical Education and 157 supernumerary posts of Principal School Cadre in the Education Department.

It also decided to fill up 245 posts of Special Educators in the education department to provide education to children with special needs.

The Cabinet gave its approval to create and fill up 53 posts of different categories of Fire Officers and officials  and 60 posts of police personnel of different categories in the Home Department for deployment at heliports in the State.

It decided to fill up 30 posts of different categories in H.P. Rajya Chayan Aayog Hamirpur for its smooth functioning.

The Cabinet gave its approval to fill up 30 posts of JOA (IT) in the Public Works Department.

It decided to create 27 additional posts of Block Development Officer, increasing the total cadre strength to 123 posts.

The Cabinet decided to regularise the services of 18 Grameen Vidya Upasaks as Junior Basic Teachers in the Education Department,  who have completed three years of services and fulfill the norms of National Council for Teachers Education.

It decided to create the Department of Cardiology in Dr. Radhakrishnan Government Medical College, Hamirpur and decided to create and fill up three posts viz. Professor, Assistant Professor and Senior Resident Doctor for its smooth functioning.

It accorded sanction to fill up two posts of District Controller, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs in the department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs through direct recruitment.

The Cabinet decided to declare the district cadre of Patwari, Kanunago and Divisional cadre of Naib Tehsildar in the Revenue Department as State Cadre.

It decided to grant the emoluments with three percent annual enhancement to the incumbents working at Aryabhatta Geo-lnformatics and Space Application Centre under the aegis of Himachal Council for Science Technology and Environment.

The Cabinet also decided to grant child care leave for a maximum period of 730 days to a female government servant during her entire service for taking care of her children with a minimum disability of 40 percent.

The Cabinet also approved to launch ‘Himachal Pradesh State Award for School Teachers Scheme, 2024’ to recognise the outstanding services of the teachers.

The Cabinet gave its nod to the creation of a State Fund dedicated to the welfare of persons with disabilities. It also recommended to the Governor the premature release of 16 prisoners serving life sentences.

The Cabinet approved to amend the H.P Motor Vehicles Rules, 1999, requiring the submission of an authorized receipt of the purchase of two Bureau of Indian Standards-certified protective headgears for registering two-wheelers in the state.

The Cabinet gave its nod to set up a ropeway from taxi parking to Baba Balak Nath Temple Deothsidh in district Hamirpur to facilitate the pilgrims.

It decided to purchase two PET scan machines for IGMC, Shimla and Dr. Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College, Tanda each and one Spect Scan Machine for IGMC Shimla in order to facilitate the patients.

The Cabinet also gave its approval to rationalise the provisions for Zero Electricity Bill for the domestic consumers by restricting subsidy to ‘One Family One Meter’ and interlinking the electricity connections with Ration Cards (Aadhar seeded). The Cabinet decided to abolish entire subsidy for Chief Minister/Ex Chief Ministers, Speaker, Deputy Speaker, Ministers,, Ex Ministers, MPs, Ex MPs, MLAs, Ex MLAs, Chairmen of Boards/ Advisors, OSDs, all Class-I and Class 2 employees of the Government/Corporations/ Boards including IAS officers, IPS Officers, HPS Officers, HAS Officers, Forest Officers, Judicial Officers etc., all government Class A and Class B contractors and all income tax payers.

It also decided to continue the MoU for operating the flights between Shimla Dharamshala for all seven days in a week.
