Chandigarh, April 12 :  The office of Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Punjab, has achieved the second rank nationwide for active engagement on social media platforms and effective dissemination of crucial information to electors.

Divulging the details, CEO Sibin C said that in the Social Media Index, Punjab clinched the second position, with Maharashtra leading, Karnataka securing third, Uttarakhand fourth, and Uttar  Pradesh fifth based on social media performance metrics.

 Sibin C highlighted that the social media handles (Facebook, Instagram, X and Youtube) of the CEO office consistently update significant information on Lok Sabha Elections, elector-related details, Political Party guidelines and key directives from the Election Commission of India. “These platforms also share real-time updates on the status of complaints received via the C-Vigil application.”

 Additionally, the CEO office has initiated a regular podcast to provide essential insights into electoral processes to electors. This podcast endeavours  to enhance voter awareness and engagement by delving into key aspects of the electoral process, such as voter registration, polling procedures and the importance of civic participation. Listeners can expect expert analysis and informative discussions to empower them as informed participants in the democratic process.
