Chandigarh/Kapurthala, September 16:
Punjab’s Local Government Minister, Balkar Singh, stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the state government is achieving new milestones in providing free, high-quality healthcare services to the people. Through 664 Aam Aadmi Clinics, more than 51 lakh people have accessed healthcare facilities so far.
After inaugurating the Guru Nanak Patient Care Center on Kartarpur Road, during the inspection of the free medical check-up camp organized by the center, Local Government Minister Balkar Singh emphasized the importance of contributions and support in the healthcare sector. He stated that it significantly aids in offering essential healthcare services to the people. Singh mentioned that the Punjab government has introduced Aam Aadmi clinics in every area of the state, providing 40 types of tests and 80 types of free medicines. Alongside the establishment of Aam Aadmi clinics, the state government is also upgrading the infrastructure and technology of government hospitals in both large and small cities to ensure quality treatment for a large number of people.
Singh mentioned that six new Aam Aadmi clinics are being established in Kapurthala district, with four in the Bhalath sub-division, one in Phagwara, and one in Balerkhanpur village for the convenience of the residents. He explained that these clinics will provide routine treatment and tests near people’s homes. Balkar Singh praised the free healthcare services offered by the Guru Nanak Patient Care Center, acknowledging that the organization’s efforts are proving beneficial for the people.
During this event, Guru Nanak Patient Care Center’s Managing Director Samuel Masih, Manager Gurdev Singh, and doctors Dr. RPS Chhabra, Dr. Vaibhav Gandhi, Dr. Amanpreet Singh, and Dr. John Williams, along with other staff, were present.
