PS TOURISM REVIEWED THE PREPARATIONS OF FIRST TOURISM SUMMIT AND TRAVEL MART
Tourism summit will prove to be a milestone in the development of the state: Rakhee Gupta Bhandari

The preparations for the first Tourism Summit and Travel Mart being organized by the Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann were reviewed by the Principal Secretary, Tourism and Cultural Affairs Department, Smt. Rakhee Gupta Bhandari here on Saturday.
Issuing instructions to the civil and police officials after reviewing the preparations at Amity University, Mrs. Bhandari said that the Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is organizing this summit with the objective of bringing the state’s tourism on the world map and it is the responsibility of all of all to carry out this program successfully.
She said that there is immense potential for tourism in the state. She said that nature has given us beautiful rivers, mountains and plains which attract everyone towards it.
Principal secretary said that religious tourism has flourished in Punjab, now our goal is to bring the natural beauty of Punjab to the people.
The Principal Secretary said that the more tourism flourishes in the state of Punjab, the more the state will benefit economically. Therefore, the Punjab Tourism Summit will prove to be a milestone in the development of the state.
She said that for the success of this event, all of us as government employees and being a Punjabis should contribute more.
Apart from this, it becomes the responsibility of Punjabis that every guest participating in this summit will have a pleasant feeling of the proud hospitality traditions of Punjab and that they come back to Punjab again and again.
Mrs. Bhandari also inspected the event venue, exhibition area and lunch area.
In the meeting, apart from others, DIG Rupnagar Range Gurpreet Singh Bhullar, Dilraj Singh Sandhawalia Secretary, Varinder Sharma Director Tourism, Bhupinder Singh Director Information and Public Relations Department Punjab, Manish Kumar IAS, TPS Phoolka IAS, Ms. Ashika Jain Deputy Commissioner Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, Dr. Sandeep Garg SSP and various senior dignitaries of the Punjab government were present.
