Newly appointed BJP Punjab chief calls upon NCSC chairman Vijay Sampla
Sampla congratulated Sunil Jakhar for getting ‘new responsibilities’ in the party fold and welcomed him with a bouquet of flowers.

A day after Sunil Jakhar was appointed as president of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)’s Punjab unit, Jakhar called upon the chairman of National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC) Vijay Sampla at its national headquarters in New Delhi on Wednesday.
Sampla congratulated Jakhar for getting ‘new responsibilities’ in the party fold and welcomed him with a bouquet of flowers. Sampla also felicitated him by presenting a shawl.
During his meeting with Sampla, Jakhar discussed various issues being faced by the community and devised effective strategies to uplift their socio-economic status. The Punjab leader sought to ensure that the concerns of the marginalized community are heard and addressed at all levels of governance. Jakhar further said that BJP will protect the rights of minorities of the state which have been neglected by the ruling party.
Jakhar was accompanied by former MLA Arvind Khanna, former MLA Manjinder Sirsa and former OSD to CM Punjab Jagdeep Sidhu.
