Four more cadets of Maharaja Ranjit Sing AFPI commissioned into Indian Air Force

  • 140 cadets of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Institute commissioned as officers into Armed Forces so far
  • President of India reviews passing out parade at Air Force Academy, Dundigal

Chandigarh, June 17:

          Four cadets, Ishan Bakshi, Manraj Singh Sahni, Harshit Bakshi and Armaandeep Singh Sodhi, of the Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute (AFPI), SAS Nagar (Mohali) have been commissioned into the Indian Air Force at a glittering Passing Out Parade at the prestigious Air Force Academy, Dundigal, Hyderabad on Saturday.

          The parade was reviewed by the Smt Draupadi Murmu, President of India and the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.

          With the commissioning of these cadets, a total of 140 cadets of Maharaja Ranjit Singh AFPI have been commissioned as officers into the Indian Armed Forces in the last 11 years. Under the able guidance of the S. Bhagwant Mann led Punjab Government a total of 38 cadets of Maharaja Ranjit Singh AFPI have been commissioned as officers since March 2022.

          Extending warm wishes to these cadets for being commissioned into Indian Air Force, Punjab Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training Minister Mr. Aman Arora said that whole Punjab feels proud on their remarkable achievement and he also wished them all the best in service.

          Major General Ajay H. Chauhan (Retd), the Director of Maharaja Ranjit Singh AFPI, called upon the cadets to live up to the motto of the Institute, “Nishchay Kar Apni Jeet Karoon” and be worthwhile sons of Punjab and true soldiers of the Nation.
