Akali Core Committee member Tarsem Bhinder joins AAP with large number of associates

…….People of Punjab being influenced by work of AAP – Jarnail Singh/Harpal Cheema

Chandigarh, January 4, 2021

Impressed with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab’s direct stand in favour of all the sections including farmers, labourers and small traders; the party’s family has been steadily growing. In the presence of AAP Punjab in-charge and MLA from Delhi, Jarnail Singh and Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the Punjab Legislative Assembly Harpal Singh Cheema; the leaders of other parties including the Shiromani Akali Dal on Monday bid adieu to the traditional parties and joined AAP along with dozens of people.

On the occasion MLAs Prof Baljinder Kaur, Budhram, state general secretary Harchand Singh Barsat, treasurer Neena Mittal were also present. Tarsem Singh Bhinder, member of Akali Dal’s core committee and former president of Youth Akali Dal Malwa Zone 3, along with a large number of associates joined AAP. Also, former senior vice presidents of Shiromani Akali Dal Ludhiana, Bhupinder Singh Sandhu, Maluk Singh and Satnam Singh Khalsa also joined the party. Other leaders who joined AAP include Jujhar Singh, president Nambardar Association, Bharpur Singh incharge Ward No 14 Akali Dal, Hardeep Singh Palaha, former president BC Wing Youth Akali Dal Ludhiana, Harinderjit Singh Bunty, president Shopkeeper Association Ludhiana, Charanjit Singh Sidhu, retired SHO, and Youth Akali Dal senior vice presidents from Malwa Zone – Parminder Singh, Harry Sandhu, Sunny Bedi and Rajwant Singh Kataria with Gagan Sandhu, vice president Ludhiana, Navdeep Sharma general secretary Akali Dal Ludhiana and dozens of workers joined the Aam Aadmi Party.

Apart from this, Rajesh Kumar Charnathal, contractor and businessman from Fatehgarh Sahib, OP Indal, convenor north India Punjab Republican Party and president Dr Ambedkar Education Society Chandigarh, Jaswant Singh Sandhu, president Punjab Agro Foodgrain Corporation Limited, Malkiat Singh, former district education officer, Fatehgarh Sahib and vice president Lok Insaf Party Malwa Zone and Gurmail Singh Sidhu, former state convener of Sanjha Mulazam Manch and general secretary joint association committee Punjab and UT employees joined the party. On the occasion Narinder Singh Sandha, former Zila Parishad chairman, Ferozepur, announced to quit Akali Dal and rejoin AAP.

Congratulating those who joined the party, the AAP leaders said that the party would be stronger with the hard work of the leaders. Tarsem Singh Bhinder, who joined the party, said that he joined AAP, as he was impressed by the work being done by the Arvind Kejriwal-led government in Delhi for the farmers. He said that efforts would be made day and night to strengthen the party.
