Ludhiana, March 18: The former Delhi Chief Minister and National Convener of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Arvind Kejriwal made a significant announcement. He declared a decisive war against drug menace in the state. On Tuesday, he announced a mass movement against the Drug menace starting from April 1.

The former Delhi Chief Minister addressed a mammoth gathering here in Indoor Stadium. He said that on April 1, more than three crore Punjabi’s will stand against the scourge of drugs. They will decimate a handful of smugglers who are ruining the generations of the state for minting money. Arvind Kejriwal said that the state government will launch a mass movement against drugs on April 1. He urged every resident to be a soldier in this war against drugs. He said that every party worker will go to villages. They will remove drugs from the state. He added that this will be a decisive war against drugs. National Convener of AAP launched an anti-drug helpline number 9779100200. He exhorted the people to give any information related to the selling of drugs in their area on this number. He said that they will not disclose the identity of the caller to anyone. However, they will take exemplary action against drug smugglers. Likewise, Arvind Kejriwal said that officials will conduct a drug census across the state. This is to ascertain the extent of drugs prevalent in the state.

Drug menace : The government will open playgrounds and gyms in every village of the state.

The former Delhi Chief Minister said that as a part of this census, teams will visit every household. They will check the extent of drugs present in the cities and villages. He said that they will keep the identity of drug victims secret but will take corrective measures subsequently. The former Delhi Chief Minister said that they have launched the crusade against drugs with full might. He added that they will soon wipe out this scourge from the state. It is serving the people of the state. He said that a complete facelift of the state is taking place under the regime of the Bhagwant Singh Mann government. Arvind Kejriwal said that Congress, Akalis, and BJP had left a dilapidated civil hospital for the Ludhiana residents. Now, the hospital has been completely renovated. The National Convener of AAP said that this hospital had more than 30,000 rodents but now the state government has embarked on a major revolution to uplift the healthcare sector. He said that they will make land registry corruption-free in the coming 3-4 months. They are planning a number of reforms in the state. Officials will provide all public dealing services at the doorsteps of the common man. Arvind Kejriwal said that they will issue Sehat cards to Punjabis who do not have Ayushman cards for free healthcare facilities. He added that this is just the beginning.
