Shri Ram Katha commences at Punjab Raj Bhavan

The seven-day Shri Ram Katha commenced today at Shri Guru Nanak Dev Auditorium of Punjab Raj Bhavan, Chandigarh, in the presence of Governor Punjab Shri Banwarilal Purohit, Haryana Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatreya and a host of dignitaries from Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh.
Famous Katha Vyas Shri Vijay Kaushal Ji Maharaj from Vrindavan narrated Sri Ram Katha after lighting of the lamp jointly by Governor Haryana and Punjab.
Haryana Governor appreciated the initiative of Mr. Banwarilal Purohit and the Punjab Raj Bhawan. He said listening to the life story of Lord Ram and His ideals, is inspirational and he will definitely try to imbibe them.
Before narrating the Ram Katha Shri Vijay Kaushal Ji Maharaj dwelled upon the greatness of our Country, culture and civilization and made a special reference to Punjab as a land of brave hearts, Gurus and sages. He mesmerizingly narrated about the sacrifice made by Sri Guru Teg Bhadhur and also that of the Sahibzadas.
On the first day the narrative revolved around the importance of listening to the katha and reciting the ‘Naam’ of Almighty.
Chief Minister, Punjab Mr. Bhagwant Mann will attend the second day of the event at Punjab Raj Bhawan.
