“Udaan Yatri Cafe” Expands: After Kolkata, Affordable Food Canteen Opens at Chennai Airport Following MP Raghav Chadha’s viral parliament speech
New Delhi, 28 February 2025: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Raghav Chadha is taking steps to make airport food affordable. His goal is to benefit all travelers. His efforts continue to bear fruit. The “Udaan Yatri Cafe” initiative successfully advocated for reasonably priced food and beverages at airports. It has now expanded from Kolkata to Chennai Airport.
MP Chadha had raised the issue of exorbitant food and beverage prices at airports. This happened during the winter session of Parliament. He urged the government to take action.
This led to the launch of “Udaan Yatri Cafe”—a dedicated initiative to provide travelers with budget-friendly options.
MP Chadha expressed his happiness over this development, calling it a step towards ensuring fairness for passengers.
“A small spark can light up the darkest skies,” he wrote on X, celebrating the expansion of affordable food canteens.
Chadha reflected on his demand in Parliament. He criticized the unjustified pricing at airports, stating:
“A water bottle costs ₹100, and tea is priced at ₹200-₹250. Can’t the government establish affordable canteens at airports?”
Sharing his thoughts on X, he wrote: “Glad to see affordable food canteens being set up at airports. Grateful to everyone who supported my demand for accessible and fairly priced food and drinks for passengers. This is a win for every traveler who has long struggled with overpriced meals. Congratulations to each one of you – every drop together makes the ocean rise.”
