Cabinet Minister Vijay Inder Singla pays obeisance at Shri Kartarpur Sahib with Chief Minister Sh. Charanjit Singh Channi
Chandigarh/Sangrur, November 18:
Mr. Vijay Inder congratulated the entire Sangat worldwide and welcomed the long overdue decision to re-open the Kartarpur corridor. Singla accompanied CM Sh. Charanjit Singh Channi to Shri Kartarpur Sahib and paid obeisance at the holy Gurudwara. Singla said it was a momentous occasion that right before Gurpurab, Sikhs all over the world had a reason to rejoice as they could finally do Khule Darshan Deedar of Shri Kartarpur Sahib.
Singla said that it was the need of the hour to espouse the message of oneness, peace and harmony embodied by Guru Nanak Dev Ji his entire life. He added that he felt extremely privileged and honoured to be able to visit Shri Kartarpur Sahib for the second time and he was overjoyed that he could share this moment with his family who accompanied him.
Vijay Inder Singla further stated that he prayed at the feet of Guru Sahib for a better and prosperous future for all his people of Sangrur and Punjab and that Guru Sahib may shower him with his bountiful blessings. Singla said he also prayed for the Chardi Kala of the Kisani Movement.
Singla while addressing the media said that before people used to stand at the border and pray from there but now with the re-opening of the corridor they’ll be able to pay obeisance themselves and that this was the result of the ardaas of millions of people across the globe and he wishes everyone can come and undertake the pilgrimage.
He especially thanked all the residents of Sangrur who have always stood by him and given this opportunity by choosing him as their Sevadaar. He said that earlier the corridor was closed due to covid and now with the re-opening of the corridor the dream of millions would now be realised
