Digital Media Association seeks compensation for journalist killed in Lakhipur Kheri violence
CHANDIGARH: The Digital Media Association Punjab has expressed deep condolence over the death of Raman Kashyap, a news channel reporter who was covering Lakhimpur Kheri incident in Uttar Pradesh yesterday where four farmers were crushed to death.
The four farmers were killed when run over by a car in the convoy of Union Minister of State for Home Affairs and BJP MP Ajay Kumar Mishra.
In a statement issued today Chief Patron Baljit Balli, Chairman Satinder Bains and President Devinderjit Singh Darshi alongwith members of the association demanded a probe into the death of journalist and sought compensation for his family on the pattern of farmers killed in the incident.
The association said they stand in solidarity with the family of Raman Kashyap who lost his life during his professional duty. The Association has demanded a compensation of Rs,45 lakh for the family of journalist and join to a kin of deceased.
