Chandigarh, February 16: The Punjab Government has made a significant move towards decarbonising the power sector. This move also aims to reduce the state’s reliance on conventional energy sources. They have installed rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) panels on 4,474 government buildings. Additionally, the state aims to add 20 MW of solar power. The government will install more rooftop solar PV panels on its buildings during the FY 2025-26 to achieve this.
