Harpal Singh Cheema Condemns Ambedkar Statue Desecration

Chandigarh, January 27 ;   Punjab Finance Minister Advocate Harpal Singh Cheema has strongly condemned the incident of desecration of Baba Saheb Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar’s statue in Amritsar on the 76th Republic Day. He said that the Punjab Government and Punjab Police are determined to bring the culprits to justice. They will ensure the culprits face the law of the land to pay for their most dastardly act.

Punjab government will take strict action against him

In a press statement issued here, Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema said that investigators are thoroughly examining the situation. Their goal is to identify and arrest the real conspirators behind this heinous crime. “The police have arrested the accused, and the Punjab government will take strict action against him,” he added. “We will not rest until we bring all the conspirators to justice.”

The Finance Minister, Harpal Singh Cheema, appealed to the residents of Punjab. cheema urged them to maintain peace and harmony while upholding the values enshrined in the Indian Constitution. He also emphasized preserving the legacy of Dr. Ambedkar. He said that we must stand against acts of hatred and division to honor Baba Saheb’s legacy. “Punjab, the revered land of gurus and pirs, will never let the seeds of hatred take root,” he affirmed. He added, “Our community has a rich cultural heritage. It has thrived for centuries and will continue to flourish forever.”
