डीजीपी पंजाब दिनकर गुप्ता ने शहीद एएसआई दलविन्दरजीत सिंह को उनके भोग के मौके पर दी गरिमापूर्ण श्रद्धांजलि
डीजीपी पंजाब दिनकर गुप्ता ने एएसआई के परिवार को पंजाब सरकार और पंजाब पुलिस की तरफ से पूर्ण सहयोग का दिया भरोसा
चंडीगढ़/तरन तारन, 24 मईः
डायरैक्टर जनरल आफ पुलिस (डी.जी.पी.) पंजाब दिनकर गुप्ता ने आज पुलिस के शहीद सहायक सब-इंस्पेक्टर (एएसआई) दलविन्दरजीत सिंह को उनके पैतृक गाँव संगवां, तरन तारन में स्थित गुरू नानक सिंह सभा गुरुद्वारा में भोग समारोह के दौरान आनलाइन ढंग से गरिमापूर्ण श्रद्धांजलि भेंट की।
एएसआई दलविन्दरजीत सिंह (48), जो 1994 में कांस्टेबल के तौर पर पुलिस फोर्स में भर्ती हुए थे और इस समय लुधियाना ग्रामीण पुलिस की क्राइम इनवैस्टीगेशन यूनिट (सीआईए) विंग में तैनात थे, वह 15 मई, 2021 को जगराओं में अपराधी और नशा तस्करों के साथ हुए मुकाबला के दौरान शहीद हो गए थे। वह अपने पीछे पत्नी और दो बेटे छोड़ गए हैं।
डी.जी.पी. दिनकर गुप्ता, जिन्होंने कोविड -19 की पाबंदियों के कारण वीडियो कांफ्रेसिंग के द्वारा भोग समागम में शिरकत की, इस दौरान उनके नेतृत्व में राज्य के सीनियर पुलिस अधिकारियों ने शहीद एएसआई दलविन्दरजीत सिंह की तरफ से दिये बलिदान को याद किया। उन्होंने कहा, ‘‘हम सभी पंजाब के 82000 मजबूत पुलिस बल परिवार का हिस्सा हैं, हम हमेशा सरहदी राज्य पंजाब के नागरिकों के बचाव और सुरक्षा के लिए एएसआई के सर्वोत्त्म बलिदान को याद रखेंगे और उन पर मान महसूस करेंगे।’’
डीजीपी ने कहा कि एएसआई दलविन्दरजीत ने अपनी अधिकतर सेवा जगराओं में निभाई और बहुत बहादुरी से अपराधियों का मुकाबला किया।
डीजीपी दिनकर गुप्ता ने भरोसा दिलाया कि पंजाब सरकार और पंजाब पुलिस हमेशा ही शहीद के परिवार के साथ डट कर खड़े रहेंगे। उन्होंने यह भी भरोसा दिया कि एएसआई दलविन्दरजीत सिंह के परिवार को एचडीएफसी बैंक की तरफ से राहत के तौर पर 1 करोड़ रुपए की राशि दी जायेगी और इसके इलावा उनके लड़के की नौकरी की उम्र होने पर पुलिस में नौकरी भी दी जायेगी।
इस दौरान कोविड -19 के मद्देनजर मामलों में हुए वृद्धि के कारण जलसे की पाबंदियों के कारण सीमित लोगों को ही भोग समागम में शामिल होने की विनती की गई थी। जिक्रयोग्य है कि तरन तारन पुलिस की तरफ से फेसबुक पेज पर समूचे भोग समागम को लाइव दिखाया गया जिससे सभी पुलिस अधिकारी और लोग उनको श्रद्धांजलि भेंट कर सकें।

Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab Dinkar Gupta paid rich tributes to Police Martyr Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Dalwinderjit Singh on his Bhog Ceremony held at Guru Nanak Singh Sabha Gurdwara in his native village Sangwan in Tarn Taran on Monday.
ASI Dalwinderjit Singh, 48, who joined the Police force as a Constable in 1994 and was currently posted in Crime Investigation Unit (CIA) Wing of Ludhiana Rural Police had lost his life in a confrontation with criminals and drug smugglers in Jagraon on May 15, 2021. He is survived by his wife and two sons.
DGP Dinkar Gupta, who attended the ceremony via video conferencing due to COVID-19 restrictions, led senior police officers of the State in remembering the supreme sacrifice made by ASI Dalwinderjit Singh. “All of us, who are the family of the 82000 strong Police force of Punjab, will always remember and feel proud of the supreme sacrifice of the ASI for the safety and security of the citizens of the border state of Punjab,” he said.
The DGP said that ASI Dalwinderjit, who had spent most of his service in Jagraon had bravely fought the criminals.
DGP Dinkar Gupta assured that the Punjab Government and Punjab Police would always stand solidly with the family of the martyr. He also assured that the family of ASI Dalwinderjit Singh would be paid a sum of Rs 1 crore as relief by the HDFC Bank, besides other benefits, including a Police job, will be given to his son as soon as he comes of age.
Meanwhile, following the gathering restrictions due to fresh surge in COVID-19 cases, only a limited number of people were requested to attend the Bhog Ceremony, however, Tarn Taran Police made the entire event live on their Facebook pages for all the Police officials and people to pay tributes to the martyr.
