Chandigarh/Sri Anandpur Sahib, November 22, 2025 : Education and Information & Public Relations Minister Harjot Singh Bains said that the decorated Nagar Kirtans are coming from all four directions. They will reach Sri Anandpur Sahib. The event will be on Friday, November 22. The Nagar Kirtans will be given a grand welcome by the devotees. He said that the total length of the Nagar Kirtans coming from Srinagar, Gurdaspur, Faridkot and Talwandi Sabo is 1563 kilometers.
Tourism and Cultural Affairs Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond described the Punjab government’s diligent work. This effort occurred under Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. They have completed all preparations in the holy city of Sri Anandpur Sahib. These measures are in place to ensure the convenience and security of the large number of devotees. They will arrive to participate in the congregations from November 23 to 25 dedicated to the 350th martyrdom day of the ninth Guru, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, and to bow at Takht Sri Keshgarh Sahib.
Nagar Kirtans ; Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s Martyrdom with Statewide Events
Devotees will pay obeisance to Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and bow at Takht Sri Keshgarh Sahib. The government organized light and sound shows. These shows depicted the great life and philosophy of Guru Sahib in all 23 districts of the state. They dedicated these events to the 350th martyrdom day of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji. held Kirtan Darbars at Baba Bakala, Amritsar, and Patiala. Sharing details of the congregations scheduled from November 23 to 25, Bains said that the Gurdwara Sahib near Baba Budha Dal Camp in Sri Anandpur Sahib will begin Sri Akhand Path Sahib on November 23, and the Chief Minister along with other dignitaries will participate.Similarly, the Chief Minister will also inaugurate an exhibition depicting the life and philosophy of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji at the Virasat-e-Khalsa memorial. On the same day, the state government will organize a Sarbat Dharam Conference at the main pandal at Baba Budha Dal Camp. Prominent religious leaders will participate. Other dignitaries will attend as well.
Grand Events and Arrangements in Anandpur Sahib for Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji Commemorations**
On November 24, the organizers will hold a Sees Bhent Nagar Kirtan from Kiratpur Sahib to Bhai Jeeta Ji’s memorial. They will also organize a Heritage Walk in Sri Anandpur Sahib. The walk will start from Gurdwara Bhora Sahib and proceed to Gurdwara Sees Ganj Sahib, Guru Tegh Bahadur Museum, Takht Sri Keshgarh Sahib, Qila Anandgarh Sahib, and finally to Virasat-e-Khalsa. Officials will hold a special session of the Legislative Assembly at Bhai Jeeta Ji’s memorial. They will also organize Gatka and other events such as tent pegging, shield–sword competitions, weapons displays, Simran, and sword congregations at Charan Ganga Stadium. Likewise, they will organize daily drone shows from November 23 to 29 at the Virasat-e-Khalsa memorial.
on November 25, Sri Akhand Path Sahib Ji will conclude. After this, a Sarbat Da Bhala congregation will be organized at the main pandal of Baba Budha Dal Camp. The state government has made extensive arrangements. These arrangements are for the convenience of lakhs of devotees coming to the holy city. They come to participate in these congregations.Authorities have ensured shuttle service for devotees to travel from parking zones to main locations. They have equipped all parking areas with CCTV surveillance, lighting, barricading, traffic marshals, signboards, and mobile toilets. and have also included existing parking locations around major religious and cultural sites in this plan.
Massive Arrangements Rolled Out for Devotees in Anandpur Sahib
The resources deployed for serving devotees include 500 e-rickshaws, 150 mini buses, and 25 Force Urbania vans. There are also 15 cars, 20 Tata Ace vehicles, and 10 golf carts to assist elderly and disabled devotees. Shuttle services will provide convenience to devotees traveling between parking locations and Gurdwara Sri Keshgarh Sahib. They will also travel to Virasat-e-Khalsa, main pandal, tent cities, and help desk points. This system will be fully monitored through the main control center. It includes dedicated pick-up points. Volunteers will provide signage and guidance.
Two major tent cities have been established. This is to manage the heavy influx of devotees during the congregations dedicated to the 350th martyrdom day of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. The event is popular among many visitors. These are ‘Chakk Nanaki Niwas’ Tent City and ‘Bhai Mati Das Niwas’ Tent City. The Rupnagar district administration has made accommodation arrangements for approximately 10,000 devotees there.
Other facilities include deployment of ambulances and ensuring immediate medical services with a 24-hour main control room. Punjab Police has made extensive arrangements for security. They ensure convenience and traffic management. During these congregations, more than 8,000 police personnel have been deployed. Senior officers of Punjab Police supervise them to ensure the security, movement and convenience of devotees.
