Punjab Government’s Big Step! Focus on Anganwadi Workers' Welfare, Smartphones Coming Soon
Chandigarh, November 15 ; Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab government is taking steps for the welfare of every section of society, while also paying special attention to the facilities and well-being of Anganwadi Workers and Helpers. Dr. Baljit Kaur, Minister of Social Security, Women and Child Development, shared this information today during a meeting with representatives of various Anganwadi unions at the Punjab Civil Secretariat.
Dr. Baljit Kaur informed that the Punjab government will soon fulfill the demand of Anganwadi Workers and Helpers. They will be provided with smartphones. This will ensure work at the Anganwadi level is done more effectively and transparently. Along with this, the government is also seriously considering demands for pay increases, hike in mobile allowance, and other requests.
Govt to Resolve Anganwadi Workers’ Demands Soon: Dr. Baljit Kaur
She stated that the government will quickly resolve the genuine demands. This resolution will encourage Anganwadi Workers and Helpers to serve with greater enthusiasm and dedication.
The Cabinet Minister said that the department has carefully heard the various demands of the Anganwadi Workers and Helpers. It will soon fulfill all the demands that can be resolved at its level. The process for issues requiring a decision at the government level will start immediately.
Dr. Baljit Kaur also mentioned that the recruitment process for Anganwadi Workers and Helpers will be completed soon. This aims to fill all vacant posts and further strengthen the quality of services.
Anganwadi Unions Thank CM Mann, Dr. Baljit Kaur for Fulfilling Key Demands
On this occasion, the Anganwadi unions specially thanked Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann and Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur for positively accepting several important demands of the Workers and Helpers. These actions include releasing pending salary arrears. They also involve initiating the recruitment process. Additionally, rules are amended to provide employment to dependents in case of death or serious illness.
Dr. Baljit Kaur emphasized that the role of Anganwadi Workers and Helpers is extremely vital in strengthening the Women and Child Development system. The government is fully committed to protecting their rights and facilities.
Vikas Pratap, Additional Chief Secretary, was also present on the occasion. Sheena Aggarwal, Director, attended as well. Amarjit Singh, Deputy Director, and Sukhdeep Singh were there too. Other officers of the Department of Social Security, Women and Child Development joined them.
