New Delhi / Shimla, 4th Nov 2025 — The Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, has recognized the Government of Himachal Pradesh for achieving a major milestone in citizen-centric digital service delivery. Himachal Pradesh has successfully integrated 51 HIMSewa services (e-Services) come into digilocker across all state departments and linked them with HIM Pariwaar, the state’s unique family identifier initiative.In recognition of this achievement ,Department of Digital Technologies & Governance , Government of Himachal Pradesh, was conferred the prestigious “People First Integration Award” at the National Workshop & Conference on DigiLocker 2025 held in New Delhi on 4th of Nov 2025.The award was presented by the Secretary (IT), MeitY,GOI in the presence of the Additional Secretary / Director General NIC (MeitY) and the CEO, NeGD (National eGovernance Division).The initiative reflects Himachal Pradesh’s commitment to delivering seamless, efficient, and transparent digital services to citizens through a unified and secure platform. Integrating HIMSewa and other services with DigiLocker to ensures faster and effortless access to government services by reducing documentation and enabling precise beneficiary verification.The National Workshop on DigiLocker brought together visionary leaders, state digital innovators, and policymakers from across the country to advance India’s Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI). The workshop focused on expanding secure, paperless, and efficient governance through DigiLocker-based digital service delivery.A key highlight of the National Conference was the felicitation of leading States, Central Ministries, and Departments that are driving Digilocker adoption and integration —accelerating India’s journey toward a Secure, Seamless, and Paperless Nation.Speaking on the occasion, Ashish Singh , Secretary (Department of Digital Technologies & Governance),Government of Himachal Pradesh, said:“This recognition reflects the dedication of the Government of Himachal Pradesh towards making citizen services accessible, seamless, and transparent. Integrating more HIMSewa and others services into digilocker with HIM Pariwaar strengthens digital governance and ensures that every Himachali benefits from a simplified and efficient service delivery experience.”This honour reinforces Himachal Pradesh’s progressive leadership in digital transformation and its commitment to leveraging technology to improve public service delivery.
