Chandigarh, April 23 () : Former Finance Minister and MLA, Lehragaga, Sh. Parminder Singh Dhindsa while coming down heavily on Capt. Amarinder Singh led Punjab Government for the shortage of COVID-19 vaccination in the State said it is really unfortunate to see that even in this hour of crisis people while risking their lives are running pillar to post for getting COVID-19 vaccination.

In an official statement issued here today, Sh. Parminder Singh Dhindsa said, “The vaccination shortage has certainly exposed the tall claims of the State Government, claiming that the people are getting best health facilities across Punjab.”
Parminder Singh Dhindsa said that at present due to the shortage in many districts of the state people are forced to return without getting the vaccination shots.
He said that on one hand the COVID-19 cases are spiking in Punjab as well as in the entire country, while on the other hand the stock of COVID-19 vaccine in the state is almost on the verge of depletion.
Dhindsa further said that contrary to the claims of the government, administration of COVID-19 vaccination in the state has not even met the target. Which has proved to be a gross negligence done on the part of the State Government.
“The situation in Punjab is such that even in private hospitals there is a vaccination shortage. Big cities like Ludhiana, Jalandhar and Amritsar are also facing acute vaccination shortage,” said Sh. Dhindsa.
He said that both the Central and State Governments had a lot of time to contain the spread of this deadly infection , but despite this the second wave of COVID-19 has already started spreading its deadly wings hence badly exposing the tall claims and promises made by the Centre and State Government regarding the health facilities.
Dhindsa said that both the Central and State governments are trying to threaten the people instead of providing them health facilities and spreading awareness among them regarding the disease.
Expressing serious concern over the acute shortage of oxygen in many states of the country, Sh. Dhindsa warned the Punjab government to remain fully prepared to avert the crisis of oxygen shortage in the State.
” Captain Government should immediately make adequate arrangements for the health facilities in the state so that the precious lives of the people could be saved,” demanded Sh. Parminder Singh Dhindsa demanded.
