CM SLAMS AKALI LEADERS FOR DISTRIBUTING THE MONEY OF GOLAK FOR VESTED POLITICAL INTERESTS
Rampura Phul (Bathinda), October 11: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann slammed the opposition parties for their misleading propaganda against the state government. On Saturday, he said that the leaders of the opposition have other intentions. They just want to attain power for their vested interests. They prefer settling their scores rather than serving the people.
The Chief Minister addressed the gathering after dedicating Railway Over Bridge (ROB) here today. He said that the opposition leaders are eagerly waiting to return to power. Their hope is to teach me a lesson for my several pro-people initiatives rather than serving the state. He said that these leaders have no vision for the state or its people. They just want to attain power to muzzle the voice of the common man. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that these leaders have plundered the wealth of the state for their vested political interests. This is why the people had ousted him.
Opposition : SLAMS AKALI LEADERS FOR DISTRIBUTING THE MONEY OF GOLAK FOR VESTED POLITICAL INTERESTS
The Chief Minister said that the traditional Opposition political parties are envious of him. They can’t digest that the son of a common man is governing the state effectively. He said that the people of the state have lost their faith. The traditional Opposition political parties have an anti-people and anti-Punjab stance. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the people of the state will forgive these parties. These parties have ruined the state. They have used the tanks to attack Sri Harmandir Sahib.
The Chief Minister said that these people have only ‘one way’ pockets as they can acquire the money through illegal means rather than giving it to the people. He said that the former Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal has distributed the money of ‘Golaks’ to the people. He did not use his own business funds from Dabwali transport or Sukh Vilas. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that people know his dubious character well and even identify the money notes he distributes, as the money belongs to them—their hard-earned income.
Opposition : Chief Minister challenged the Akali leader
Taking a dig at Sukhbir’s claim of being a farmer, the Chief Minister challenged the Akali leader to reveal the secret of how he built a flourishing transport business and hotels from a single chunk of land. He added that everyone knows the Akalis mercilessly plundered the state’s wealth, which enabled them to establish all these businesses.Bhagwant Singh Mann said that moreover these people patronized the chitta trade in the state which led to the genocide of generations of the state.
The Chief Minister reiterated that the state government will adopt no leniency towards the ‘Jarnails’ who were the perpetrators behind the genocide of youth through the curse of drugs. He said that the government has already jailed the leaders who had patronized the drug trade, adding that these leaders not only supported drug trafficking across the state but also ironically transported and sold drugs in their official government vehicles. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that in the past no one had previously dared to arrest these affluent leaders, but now his government has done so and they will have to pay the price for their sins.
The Chief Minister said that, surprisingly, the arrest of this Akali leader exposed the unholy nexus between political parties, as they cried over human rights violations and demanded special cells and facilities for the accused. He added that this region has produced several ace leaders, but they never focused on its development, caring only for their families’ well-being and showing no intent to support such projects. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that contrary to them the state government headed by him is taking every decision for the welfare of the common man.
