
A major step towards strengthening Haryana–Japan relations Invites Japan to participate as ‘Partner Country’ in the Happening Haryana Global Investors Summit 2026
Chandigarh, October 6 – Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, leading a high-level delegation, held bilateral discussions with senior ministers of the Government of Japan today. The meetings focused on deepening economic, industrial, and cultural cooperation between Haryana and Japan. Haryana Industry and Commerce Minister, Rao Narbir Singh was also present on this occasion.
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini met Miyaji Takuma, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Japan, and discussed avenues to enhance trade and investment between Haryana and Japan. The Chief Minister invited Japan to participate as a ‘Partner Country’ in the upcoming Happening Haryana Global Investors Summit 2026, scheduled for April 2026.

Later, the Chief Minister also met Koga Yuichiro, Ministers of State, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), Japan. The discussions aimed to strengthen collaboration between Haryana and Japanese industries. They focused particularly on the micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) sector. Both sides explored potential investments in emerging sectors. These sectors include future mobility, green energy, and advanced electronics. They also considered semiconductors, infrastructure development, and digital transformation.
Chief Minister said that India is advancing rapidly under the leadership of Prime Minister Sh Narendra Modi. It has emerged as the world’s fourth-largest economy. The Haryana Government is committed to attracting greater foreign investment to the state. Strengthening ties with a technologically advanced nation like Japan will create new opportunities for industry, innovation, and employment in Haryana. This visit marks an important step toward realizing the Prime Minister’s vision of a Developed India – Developed Haryana.

Commissioner and Secretary, Industries and Commerce Department is Dr. Amit Agrawal, Commissioner and Secretary, Foreign Cooperation Department, Amneet P. Kumar, Managing Director, Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation and Director General, Industries and Commerce Department, Yash Garg, along with other senior officers.
