In the rush to show change, the government has to change its own decisions: Dr. Raj Kumar

The result of our struggle came in our favour: Dr. Raj Kumar

The AAP government had to withdraw its writ, because how can a government go against any act and take unconstitutional decisions and even if they went to court, they would have lost the case. This view was expressed by MLA Dr. Raj Kumar, Deputy Leader of Opposition in the Vidhan Sabha. At that time he was commenting on the withdrawal of the writ filed by the AAP government in the High Court against the directions of the National SC Commission on the issue of non-provision of SC/BC reservation in advertisement for 178 posts of law officers in the office of Advocate General. Dr. Raj described this move of the government as the victory of the struggle of all SC/BC community leaders, pioneers and common people. It is worth mentioning that Dr. Raj has repeatedly raised this issue at different forums. Even during the assembly session, he had taken a dig at the government on this issue. Just couple of days back, Dr. Raj Kumar, while holding a press conference on this issue in Chandigarh, had demanded the withdrawal of this writ from the government. On this occasion, taking a jibe at the AAP government, Dr. Raj said that this novice government has had to withdraw its fifth-sixth decision today after making it public. In a hurry to show the change they promised, they are changing their own decisions after taking wrong decisions in a hasty manner. Why doesn’t the government take decisions after thorough discussions and reviews and now why the guidance of Delhi’s Kejriwal government is also proving to be a failure. Dr. Raj said that he has mentioned many times in the past too that Delhi is not a complete State and Punjab cannot be run on the lines of Delhi. Therefore, instead of spending crores of rupees on the advertisements of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and his supremo Kejriwal, first our CM should start taking the right decisions.
