Sahibzade Martyrdom Commemoration: Special School Events

Martyrdom of the Sahibzade

As per the directions of Chief Minister Punjab,  Bhagwant Singh Maan, a special program will be organized to apprise students of government/recognised and private schools in Punjab about the valour of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji and the unparalleled martyrdom of the Sahibzade.

Join us on December 23 for a solemn ceremony dedicated to commemorating the martyrdom of Sahibzade. This poignant event is set to unfold in all schools across Punjab during the morning hours, spanning the first two hours. Pay your respects and honor the sacrifice as we come together for a meaningful and reflective tribute.

The Education Minister of Punjab, Harjot Singh Bains, shared insightful details about this significant initiative, expressing that the upcoming events dedicated to paying homage to the Sahibzadas’ martyrdom will involve a variety of activities. These activities will feature engaging competitions such as poetry recitations, song performances, and waar singing, fostering a sense of cultural appreciation and remembrance among the participants. The events are also related to Martyrdom Week and include speech/educational competitions centered around Guru Gobind Singh Ji. Moreover, school in-charges and teachers will actively deliver speeches on the life and sacrifice of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, contributing to the commemoration of Shaheedi Jor Mela.

Bains stressed that these events will be organised with complete simplicity in all schools, without the inclusion of any musical programs.
