AUTHORISES DCs TO ISSUE INSTRUCTIONS IN THIS REGARD

CHANDIGARH, JULY 20: To assess the damage due to incessant rains in the state, Revenue Minister Gurpreet Singh Kangar has issued orders to conduct special gurdawari for the same.

Disclosing this, spokesperson of the Punjab Government stated that the Revenue Minister has authorised concerned Deputy Commissioners to issue orders for the same in areas where rains have wrecked damage.

 Deputy Commissioners, in case of any need to tackle situation arising out of flooding could approach Financial Commissioner for any assistance, the spokesperson added.

The spokesperson further said that the work to fill the gap in Ghagar at Khanouri was on at war level and would be completed by tonight.
