HANDS OVER APPOINTMENT LETTERS 457 NEWLY RECRUITED YOUTH IN THE VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS

Chandigarh, February 26- Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann continued Mission Rozgar on Monday by handing over appointment letters to 457 newly recruited youth in various departments. This initiative has illuminated the lives of more than 40,000 families since the formation of the government.

Chief Minister on Youth Empowerment

During his address following the distribution of appointment letters, the Chief Minister underscored the state government’s efforts to integrate youth into Punjab’s socio-economic progress, highlighting the paramount importance of this initiative for the state’s development. Additionally, he emphasized the need for collective action and collaboration among various stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation of youth-centric policies and programs.  highlighted Punjab’s fertile ground for opportunities, driven by the spirit of hard work, dedication, and resilience. Bhagwant Singh Mann reiterated Punjab’s potential, fueling the government’s efforts to make it a leading state in the country.

Today, the Chief Minister announced the appointment of 20 Junior Draftsmen in the Water Supply and Sanitation department. Moreover, 32 employees, including Dairy Development officers, clerks, incubator operators, and Machine Operators, were hired in the Animal Husbandry department. The Youth services department hired six steno-typists, followed by the recruitment of 129 employees, including clerk legal, accounts, and IT positions in the Excise and Taxation department.

Punjab’s Recent Departmental Recruitment

The Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs department welcomed eight steno-typists, whereas the Information and Public Relations department appointed one clerk.  The Finance department recruited 36 employees, including clerks, steno-typists, and section officers. Public Works employed 24 Junior Draftsmen, and 41 clerks joined the Housing and Urban Development department. Additionally, 79 steno-typists were added to the Water Resources department, and the Health and Family Welfare department welcomed nine employees, including staff nurses, clerks, and class IV staff. The Medical Education department hired 65 employees, including Assistant Engineers, Assistant Managers, and Clerks, along with seven employees, including Professors, Associate Professors, and Assistant Professors.

Chief Minister’s Job Recruitment Commitment

The Chief Minister declared that the great Sikh gurus have taught us to fight against tyranny, oppression, and injustice. Following in their footsteps, the state government is diligently ensuring that recruitment to government jobs is conducted with fairness and transparency.   He said that this venue has witnessed a number of such events in which youth have got jobs in various government departments. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that this reflects the commitment of the state government to ensure the well being of youth and opening new avenues of employment for them.

Optimism on Youth Employment in Punjab

The Chief Minister expressed immense pride in selecting over 40,000 youth for these posts based solely on merit. He highlighted the state government’s goal to reverse migration and curb brain drain from Punjab by providing new opportunities. Furthermore, Bhagwant Singh Mann expressed optimism, noting that many youth are now preparing for government jobs through competitive exams, shifting from considering migration abroad.  This shift underscores a positive trend towards prioritizing domestic opportunities and contributing to the state’s growth and development.

Inspiring the Newly Recruited Youth

The Chief Minister exhorted the newly recruited youth to serve the people with missionary zeal, emphasizing their integral roles within the government. He expressed hope that they would utilize their skills to benefit the needy and underprivileged sections of society, thereby making a meaningful contribution to the community’s well-being.

Pride in Punjab’s Heritage and Achievements

The Chief Minister reflected on Punjab’s rich heritage, acknowledging the contributions of great Gurus, saints, martyrs, and poets. He expressed pride in Punjabis’ global achievements and emphasized their potential for limitless progress and prosperity.

Critique of Traditional Parties

Addressing the opposition, the Chief Minister highlighted their envy towards his common family background. He criticized their outdated notion of divine right to rule, urging people not to be misled by their propaganda.

Defense of Government Accomplishments

The Chief Minister defended the government’s achievements, including free power distribution, healthcare provisions, and thermal plant acquisition. He denounced opposition leaders’ attacks, urging people to reject their outdated politics.

Focus on Youth Empowerment

The Chief Minister announced the establishment of eight hi-tech training centers to prepare youth for competitive exams. He emphasized the government’s commitment to nurturing youth potential for national service.

Criticism of Navjot Singh Sidhu

Terming Navjot Singh Sidhu as a ‘useless turncoat,’ the Chief Minister criticized his political opportunism and lack of commitment to public service. He urged people to recognize such leaders’ unreliability.

Encouragement for Youth Leadership

The Chief Minister encouraged youth to identify their capabilities and pursue their aspirations. He likened the government’s support to runways facilitating smooth takeoffs for airplanes, urging youth to strive for success.

Presence of Cabinet Ministers

Cabinet Ministers Harpal Cheema, Chetan Singh Jauramajra, and Harbhajan Singh ETO were also present at the event, emphasizing the collective commitment of the government.
