CHANDIGARH, APRIL 25: On the third day of Sri Ram Katha discourse at Punjab Raj Bhavan , the Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Manohar Lal Khattar, especially arrived and attended the programme. He was extended a floral welcome by the Sh.Banwarilal Purohit, Governor Punjab.

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that it I am fortunate that I got the opportunity to listen to Shri Ram Katha. He said that the character of Lord Ram is exemplary and the morals from Ram Katha should be imbibed by all.  Ramayana has great philosophical, spiritual significance. It portrays the life story of Lord Rama and gives lessons on various aspects of man’s life including obedience, devotion to parents and selflessness.

Referring to the Ram Janambhoomi, he said that the construction work of the grand temple at  Ayodhya is in full swing, and we will be fortunate to visit the holy place after completion of its construction.

Katha Vyas Shri Vijay Kaushal Ji Maharaj dwelled upon the need to focus on good thoughts as we are goaded by our thoughts to act upon things we think about. Think Good, do Good. Focus the mind on auspicious works.

He told that the first and last code of conduct for listening to the Ram Katha is that juxtapose yourself in the story and ponder over your conduct. If you find yourself in the wrong then immediately move towards course correction.

He suggested chanting that the mantras aloud since that helps to focus and prevents mind from going astray.

He said that whenever there is an increase in unrighteousness, sin and atrocities on the earth, God incarnates for the protection of devotees.

On the fourth day of the Katha, the Governor of Jharkhand, Shri Ramesh Bais will be the chief guest.
