CM Hold High-Level Meeting with Deputy Commissioners

REVIEWS IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PRO-PEOPLE AND DEVELOPMENT ORIENTED POLICIES OF THE STATE

Chandigarh, January 31 On Wednesday, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann convened a high-level meeting with the Deputy Commissioners from all the districts to assess the implementation of various citizen-centric schemes in the state.

Effective Implementation of Door-to-Door Scheme

Chief Minister expressed satisfaction over the effective implementation of the door-to-door scheme in most districts,

CM emphasizing its aim to provide 43 citizen-centric services to the people at their doorsteps. He urged the Deputy Commissioners to ensure the scheme’s diligent execution to benefit the populace.

Operation of Aam Aadmi Clinics

The Chief Minister noted that 664 Aam Aadmi Clinics are operational in the state, with approximately 98 lakh patients benefiting from them.

He highlighted the provision of free medicines worth Rs 40.50 crore and free lab tests worth Rs 5.77 crore.

The Chief Minister announced the forthcoming dedication of 150 new clinics to the state. CM instructed the Deputy Commissioners to conduct regular inspections of clinics statewide.

Accessibility of Prescribed Medicines in Government Hospitals

Chief Minister disclosed the state government’s decision to make all prescribed medicines available to patients within government hospital premises.

He emphasized the Deputy Commissioners’ responsibility to ensure medicine availability for patients.

Introduction of the Farishtay Scheme

Chief Minister introduced the Farishtay scheme for roadside trauma victims . CM instructing District Level Committees to monitor expenditures and the empanelment of hospitals under the scheme.

Focus on Education and Canal Water Utilization

He stressed the importance of using canal water efficiently, opening 13 new Schools of Eminence, and implementing SOPs for hazardous trees and unsafe buildings on school premises.

Utilization of MGNREGA Scheme and Road Upkeep

The Chief Minister urged Deputy Commissioners to effectively utilize the MGNREGA scheme, generate employment, and   ensure the fast-track initiation of construction for the Delhi-Amritsar-Katra National Highway.

He stressed the need for proper road maintenance and funding allocation to PWD authorities to minimize commuter inconvenience.
