CM DEDICATES 36TH MOTHER AND CHILD CARE CENTRE TO PEOPLE AT BUDHLADA

REITERATES COMMITMENT TO IMPART QUALITY HEALTH SERVICES TO PEOPLE

SLAMS SUCCESSIVE STATE GOVERNMENTS FOR IGNORING THE INTERESTS OF PUNJAB AND PUNJABIS      

Budhlada (Mansa), June 21-

          Aiming to further strengthen the health infrastructure for imparting quality health care services to people, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Wednesday dedicated the 36th Mother and Child Care Centre at Budhlada to the people.

          Addressing the gathering after dedicating 30-bedded Mother and Child Care centre here, the Chief Minister envisioned that this newly constructed hospital will act as a catalyst to provide the necessary facilities for better care of pregnant women and newly borns in Mansa district. He said that this hospital which has been constructed at cost of Rs 5.10 crore will be a cornerstone in delivering quality health services to people. Bhagwant Mann said that gynaecologist and expert doctors will be appointed in this health center, thereby ensuring that people especially women won’t have to travel to miles out of Mansa district to seek the quality treatment.

          The Chief Minister pointed out that 45 such Maternal and Child Health Centres are to be set up in the state, out of which 36 had already been dedicated so far and more will be set up in near future. He said that complete transformation has taken place in these health and education sectors during the last one year. Referring to the special health services for pregnant women at the Maternity and Child Care Hospital, the Bhagwant Mann stressed that the hospital had over 100 deliveries every month, which will provide a great deal of convenience to pregnant women and newborns with modern health facilities.

          The Chief Minister said that Modern machines and equipment have been installed in it and there will be a special arrangement of ante-natal check-ups, high-risk pregnancy check-ups, caesarean deliveries. He said that the SNCU facility for premature babies will also be available. Apart from this, Bhagwant Mann said that Paediatricians will also be posted at this Centre for specialised treatment for children.

          Hitting out at opposition leaders for looting the people of Punjab for decades, the Chief Minister said that previous governments and its leaders had ignored the interests of Punjab for their vested political interests and patronised mafia as well as sheltered drug peddlers. He said that they have joined their hands to malign his image as they are baffled with the extraordinary working of the Punjab government.

          The Chief Minister said that previous governments had safeguarded the vested interests of each other, but ever since the Aam Aadmi government assumed the power in Punjab, all their nefarious designs to loot the state in alternative terms have been foiled. Bhagwant Mann said that history is testimony to the fact that these leaders have never joined hands to protect the interests of Punjab but now they have come together just to save their skin. He said that these leaders established monopoly over health, education and transport sector but tyrannical days of these selfish politicians are over and now the state government empower the common people.

          The Chief Minister said that the youth of Punjab will get employment as the government is committed to eliminate all mafia from the state. He said that the state government has been working dedicatedly to facilitate people of Punjab by providing free 600 units of free electricity to the people in every billing cycle and giving free treatment by opening Aam Aadmi Clinics across the state. Bhagwant Mann said that the state government will soon give ultra-modern equipments to the fire brigade for the safety of people.

          The Chief Minister also announced to sanction Rs 21 crore for the development works of the district.
