ANIMAL HUSBANDRY MINISTER LALJIT BHULLAR HANDS OVER APPOINTMENT LETTERS TO 29 VETERINARY INSPECTORS

119 MORE CANDIDATES WILL JOIN DEPARTMENT AFTER VERIFICATION PROCESS

ADVERTISEMENT TO RECRUIT MORE VETERINARY INSPECTORS SOON

Chandigarh, August 25:

          Fulfilling the commitment of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for providing maximum employment to the youth of the state, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries & Dairy Development Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar, on Thursday, handed over appointment letters to 29 veterinary inspectors in the department.

          During a brief and simple ceremony at the Livestock Complex, SAS Nagar, the Animal Husbandry Minister said that out of 148 veterinary inspectors (VI), the candidates whose verification process has completed, have been given appointment letters today and the remaining 119 candidates will soon join the department after the completion of the verification process.

          The Cabinet Minister informed that the recruitment process of 418 Veterinary Officers (VO) is under process as the competitive exam has been conducted recently. And, this recruitment process will also be completed soon, he added.

          Animal Husbandry Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar said, the advertisement for the recruitment of more veterinary inspectors and other staff in the department is being issued soon, urging youth of Punjab to prepare for the competitive exams according to their qualification.

          While congratulating the newly appointed employees, the Cabinet Minister exhorted them to work honestly and dedicatedly. “Newly appointed employees should make honesty an integral part of their lives”, urged the Minister.

          He expressed hope that now the farmers and livestock farmers are in trouble due to diseases like lumpy skin and African Swine Fever, the animal husbandry department will be strengthened with this newly appointed batch to fight the diseases.

          Principal Secretary, Animal Husbandry Mr. Vikas Pratap congratulated newly appointed Veterinary Inspectors and asked them to take a pledge to work diligently so that all related sections of the society could get benefit of services of the department in true sense.

          On this occasion, Director Animal Husbandry Dr. Subhash Chander Goel, Director Dairy Dr. Kuldeep Singh, Director Fisheries Mr. Jasvir Singh and other officials were also present.
