100 percent exemption for Divyang persons on National Highways Tolls :Dr. Baljit Kaur

Chandigarh, November 21:

 

The Punjab government, under Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s leadership, consistently prioritizes every section of the state. In a further move in this direction, Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur said a 100 percent toll exempted for Divyang persons on National Highways in Punjab.

 

 

Providing additional details, Cabinet Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur specified that vehicles registered in the name of Divyang person, under the ownership of Divyang persons according to the Motor Vehicle Act, 1988 and its rules, will receive a full toll exemption on national highways. Divyang person must register their vehicles’ ownership as Divyang person in the registration certificate.

 

 

Dr. Baljit Kaur added that any divyang person can register their new or existing vehicle as a divyang person with the transport department. To avail this, concerned individuals need to obtain a special exempted fast tag by registering on the website https://exemptedfastag.nhai.org/exemptedfastag/ and after completing the online form, the competent authority will issue a Exempted Special Fast Tag. This Tag must be affixed to the divyang person’s vehicle.

 

 

Providing further information, the minister stated that comprehensive details about the rules related to this initiative are accessible on the department’s website https://sswcd.punjab.gov.in/. Additionally, if Divyang persons encounter any difficulties in utilizing this facility, they can contact the office of the District Social Security Officer in their district or the Child Development Project Officer in the relevant block.
