*Punjab Youth Congress held a fierce protest outside Congress ED Office Jalandhar*
Under the guidance of Ajay Chikara – State Incharge Punjab youth congress and Brinder Singh Dhillon – president of Punjab Youth congress, two Districts President Youth Congress Urban and Rural protested against the ED in front of the ED office in Jalandhar.
On the day when Congress president Sonia Gandhi has to appear before the Enforcement Directorate, the opposition party launched an all-out attack on the government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, slamming them for being intolerant and using agencies as political tools to topple elected governments and harass political opponents. Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Thursday joined the probe of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the National Herald case.
Angad Dutta district President Jalandhar urban said that the Punjab Youth Congress staged a massive protest outside the Jalandhar ED office in which tires were set on fire and the slogans were chanted, Modi Govt, dead, stop using ED. And ED will shout slogans of death. Government institutions are using Congress to defame Congress and to intimidate Congress, but Congress and Youth Congress are not going to be afraid of their dirty tricks. Congress will protest in all of Punjab if they have to use ED, where they have bought MLAs in Maharashtra with 100-100 crores of pay, they should use them. They are trying to discredit Congress and suppress it.
Honey Joshi, Distt president Jalandhar rural said We will continue this protest in the same way. We will fight back.
Even joint opposition Presidential candidate Yashwant Sinha in a tweet said,
“I strongly condemn the attitude of the ED to humiliate political leaders. The officers of the ED should have gone to her residence even if they had questions to ask of Sonia Gandhi.”
We condemn this and resolve to continue and intensify our collective fight against the anti-people, anti-farmer, anti-Constitution policies of the Modi Sarkar that are destroying the social fabric of our society,” Honey Joshi said.
