Kataruchak Thanks Palledars for Procurement Season Success

Directs officers to ensure basic sanitation facilities for Palledars at warehouses

Chandigarh, January 5  The Punjab Government led by the Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is fully aware of the immense contribution rendered by the ‘Palledars’ in ensuring the smooth wheat and paddy procurement seasons and stands committed to ensure their welfare in every aspect.

In a significant development, Lal Chand Kataruchak, the Minister of Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs, recently engaged with the Joint Committee of Palledar Unions, which includes representatives from the Foodgrain and Allied Workers Union, FCI, Punjab Food Agencies Palledar Azaad Union, and All Food and Allied Shramik Union.

During the meeting, the Committee presented several demands to Minister Kataruchak, who attentively listened to each concern. In response, the Minister promptly directed the department’s officers to take immediate actions to fulfill the demands, specifically focusing on ensuring that palledars have access to essential facilities related to basic sanitation and cleanliness at the warehouses.

The commitment to address these demands reflects the government’s dedication to prioritizing the welfare and working conditions of the palledars, highlighting the significance of their role in the smooth functioning of procurement seasons.
